“Slamming Bananas Foster’s”
1 box Aunjemima original pancakes
2 banana’s (sliced ½ inch pieces)
½ cup dark brown sugar
½ cup orange juice
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
½ tsp cinnamon
¼ stick butter (chilled and cubed)
In medium sauté pan heat on medium high heat orange juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract and stir. Cook until reduce by a 1/3 and sauce begins to become syrupy. (About 5-7 minutes). Add bananas and stir. Cut off heat and mount in chilled butter (by mounting I mean for you to stir in butter constantly until fully incorporated in sauce).Heat up pancakes according to package directions and pour sauce over shingles: 3 per serving size pancakes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired .Eat and enjoy
For microwave:
Heat brown sugar, orange juice, vanilla, &cinnamon in medium size microwavable glass bowl all mixed together for 5minutes.Take out of microwave and stir .Return to microwave for 5mins .Remove from microwave and stir in chilled butter with whisk. Add bananas, stir with spoon and serve over heated pancakes.
Note: bowl will be hot so use towel and also cover bowl to avoid splattering of sauce all over the microwave.
Note: to add some extra bananas foster love add 2 tbsp of Myers dark rum

Small wire whisk

Gravy boat or sauce bowl with ladle
